This morning “The Healthcare Blog” posted this essay. It is an abbreviated version of a comment letter I forwarded to the the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on July 3rd in response to two proposed 2024 Medicaid regulatory rules. Though both proposed rules emphasized CMS’ goal to improve health equity in the Medicaid program, both proposed rules failed to even mention the “greatest threat to Medicaid beneficiaries,” particularly children, the climate crisis.
