Subscribe to the Podcast

There are many options for listening to this podcast.  Of course, you can use a web browser anytime to go directly to the site and listen to any new or archived interview.  Alternatively, if you have a podcast player application, you can subscribe so that new interviews will be delivered automatically to you.

The instructions for subscribing vary depending on your device and what software you are using.    Please review the various options below and choose the one that best fits your situation.  Note:  If you have a cell phone with a QR-code scanner, you can first try scanning the image to the left.  That should subscribe you automatically, if your device is already configured to recognize the link.

If you have any trouble subscribing, please leave a comment describing the difficulty.  If possible, include your platform and software version.

iTunes

1. Copy this link: http://www.thehealthcarepolicypodcast.com/rss.xml
2. Open iTunes and click once on 'podcasts' on the left-hand side of the screen.
3. Click 'Advanced' on the menu on the top of the screen and select 'Subscribe to Podcast.'
4. Look for the 'Subscribe to Podcast'. Right-click in the box below "URL:" and select 'Paste.'
5. Click 'OK' and wait while the most recent episode from our podcast downloads to your iTunes. 

iOS (iPhone & iPad)

1. Take a look at the Apple App Store
2. Download your favorite app - Reeder is a good option if you are unfamiliar.
3. Once you download and install Reeder you can click the '+' button.
4. Copy the link, "http://www.thehealthcarepolicypodcast.com/rss.xml" and add it to your feed.
5. You are now subscribed to the feed.

Windows Phone

1. Visit the Window's App Store on your phone.
2. Search for 'podcast' select the application program that best fits your needs. We will use the free slapDASH podcasts for the instructions below.
3. Click 'install' and wait for it to download and install on your phone.
4. Click the '+' button and copy this link into the url box "http://www.thehealthcarepolicypodcast.com/rss.xml"
5. You are now subscribed to the feed.

Android Phone

1. Visit the Google Play Store on your phone.
2. Search for 'podcast' and select the application program that best fits your needs. We will use the free DoggCatcher podcast tool for the instructions below.
3. Click 'install' and wait for it to download and install on your phone.
4. Click the '+' button
5. Scroll down to "Feed RSS URL"
6. In the box labeled RSS URL, enter this link:  http://www.thehealthcarepolicypodcast.com/rss.xml
7. Press "OK".  You are now subscribed to the feed.

Windows Internet Explorer 9

1. Click here to navigate to the web page with our RSS feed information.
2. Navigate to the 'Tools' menu on the toolbar above the page.
3. Click 'Subscribe to this feed' and the 'The Healthcare Policy Podcast' will pop up with several options.
4. Select your options and click 'Subscribe'.

Windows Internet Explorer 7 & 8

1. Click here to navigate to the web page with our RSS feed information.
2. Click on the 'Subscribe to this feed' link on the webpage above.
3. Click on 'The Healthcare Policy Podcast' to subscribe to our podcast via RSS.
4. Finally click 'Subscribe'.

Safari 5

1. Click here to navigate to the web page with our RSS feed information.
2. Click on 'Bookmarks' and then 'Add Bookmark'.
3. Add bookmark to the 'Bookmark Bar' - you can choose to update yourself when new articles appear in Safari and also Mac Mail.

Google Chrome

1. Google Chrome requires that you download an additional extension to follow RSS feeds. Click here to download the extension produced by Google.
2. You will then want to click 'Add' on the website above. The download will begin automatically.
3. Click here to navigate to the web page with our RSS feed information.
4. You can now follow the drop down menu at the top of the page for options on how you want to follow the blog.

Firefox 17.0.1

1. Click here to navigate to the web page with our RSS feed information.
2. At the top of the screen you will have several subscription options including 'Live Bookmarks' or an email option.
3. Once you select your options click 'Subscribe Now' and you will be on our subscription list.
